So I found this article on the Verge stating that Microsoft had been working hard to improve Teams performance and reduce CPU and memory usage. Microsoft has announced a number of important improvements. Claiming teams now use up to 50% less CPU and 40% less memory than before.
According to Microsoft, they optimized teams' code base, reduced unnecessary processes, improved caching mechanisms, and transitioned away from electron (which is slow). To Edge's web view2. These changes will allow teams to load and run faster, so we can expect it to be much more responsive. Microsoft also said that these improvements would benefit all users across platforms and devices, especially those using Teams on low-end hardware or in low-bandwidth environments.
