#microsoftteams is coming to #androidauto in February.

Android Auto, an app that allows Android phones to connect to a car's on-board system, will introduce Microsoft's communications and collaboration platform, nearly a year after it was first announced at Google's I/O 2023 event. Users can join #videomeetings and make calls from the calendar view, call speed dial contacts and view recent calls on Android phones.

However, there is no further information on whether Android Auto will also integrate with chat and channel messaging or complement other Teams capabilities such as file sharing.

Google announced Android Auto integration for Teams, Zoom, and Webex at its 2023 I/O, with both of the latter platforms arriving on the app last September. It's unclear why it's taking so long for Teams to follow suit, but it will be generally available to Android Auto users starting next month.
