Networking is a great skill designed to take your career and passions to the next level. Doctors can be considered less fortunate because they don't necessarily have to rely solely on networking to pursue medical training and get a job. While networking has its benefits, to become a doctor you have to work incredibly smart, respect your superiors, take standardized tests, and work extra hours.

However, it comes as a big shock when doctors want to venture into private practice or look for new jobs in medicine. Doctors need to make connections to land new jobs. And since they don't have much time to play golf, effective networking can be of great help to doctors than to other professionals.

Dr. Harris Eyre offers excellent networking advice for doctors looking for a new job. He says that as a doctor you should think about your passion and what you can best do in your professional life, and then try to target some specific organizations in your area that align with what you want in much the same way.

Harris also states that when he came to the United States, LA, he discovered that there were many organizations that aligned with his passion. He reached out to them and essentially made great connections with a bunch of people.

Yet Dr. In terms of networking advice for physicians, Harris identifies some networking methods that physicians can use in the 21st century. One of them is social media. He says social media tools, especially LinkedIn, can be an effective way to network. He advises doctors who do not have a LinkedIn account to open one so that networking becomes more effective. Twitter is also a great platform for networking as there are many people whose posts are not only social but also professional.
