Gary Bolton, president of the Fiber Broadband Association, predicts:

– The fiber broadband supply chain will normalize in the first half of 2024, enabling new deliveries and record deployment.
– Access, affordability and adoption of fiber broadband will increase, with funding from the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) ensuring everyone can participate on the internet.
– 2024 will be the year of workforce development, requiring more than 200,000 fiber optic technicians. The Fiber Broadband Association's technician training program will expand to all states and territories, and states will provide funding for workforce development.
