In this video we're going to talk about my thoughts on Noom. Noom is a weight loss app.

On Noom's website they describe themselves as an anti-diet program. No food is off limits. Noom focuses mainly on calories, which promotes the idea that if you eat fewer calories, you will lose weight.

The goal is to let you track your calories, in the hopes of making you more aware of what you eat and how many calories you consume each day.

Eating less junk food and fewer calories will definitely be a factor in weight loss. However, there are a few major problems with Noom. Look.

1. It may work the first time. However, it will work less and less over time.

2. Low-calorie diets slow down your metabolism!

3. These types of diets are not compatible with a long-term healthy lifestyle.

4. Noom assumes that all calories are treated the same by the body (they aren't!).

5. Aging further slows down your metabolism – Noom doesn't take this into account.

6. They enable snacking, which causes insulin resistance and weight gain

The ketogenic diet is a much better way to lose weight. You're not hungry, you don't have to count your calories and you burn fat quickly. Check out my channel to learn more about keto and intermittent fasting.
