Let us introduce ourselves: number 5 of the 100 best American restaurants in the country! Located on the beautiful Windward Side of O'ahu, owners Adela Visitacion and Millie Chan perfected their recipes with locally grown Hawaiian produce that would otherwise be thrown away: purple-hued Okinawan sweet potatoes from nearby farms, 'ulu (or breadfruit, which grows on trees in the backyards of many locals) and malunggay (or moringa, a nutritious green leaf).

Even before it landed on Yelp's Top Places to Eat in Oahu last year, well-known locals and tourists were lining up for large portions of Adela's famous fresh noodles with delicious homemade sauces. Pair any pasta type with Adela's equally flavorful toppings, such as Lechon ("crispy, juicy, and flavorful" pork belly), Shrimp Scampi with Garlic Butter, and Braised Short Rib.
