I ended up building a custom DIY above ground irrigation system, but it still had its flaws and never seemed to stop leaking. Finally we have a professional do-it-yourself above ground irrigation system available for us do-it-yourselfers.

In this video we discuss the very first professional DIY above ground sprinkler system in existence.

Hunter Irrigation just released a do-it-yourself above ground irrigation system called the MP Stake. Designed for use with the MP Rotator nozzle, the MP Stake comes pre-assembled and includes a check valve and pressure regulator to ensure slow and even watering. This DIY sprinkler system is the absolute best way to irrigate without a professional underground irrigation system.

The best thing about this irrigation system is that it uses the MP Rotator nozzles, the gold standard in the irrigation world. The MP Rotator uses a multi-path rotating flow, which allows you to save water. Instead of simply spraying water on your lawn, MP Rotators deliver multiple streams of water at a consistent rate. This slower application rate allows the water to gently penetrate the soil and achieve an even distribution over the area to be irrigated. The Mp rotators use 30% less water compared to traditional sprays, resulting in less water runoff. I've been using the Mp rotators on my existing DIY build and am super excited to see Hunter come up with this special DIY solution.
