Open source in every car with automotive-grade Linux – Walt Miner, The Linux Foundation

Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) is a Linux Foundation Collaboration Project developing a Unified Code Base open source distribution for use in automotive electronics. AGL distribution increases innovation and shortens time to market for new applications that can be incorporated into the vehicle. Walt Miner will provide an update on the latest AGL activities, including the Brilliant Blowfish release and ongoing work focused on the next release. Walt will show how and where developers can contribute to AGL.

About Walt Miner

Walt Miner works for The Linux Foundation as Community Manager for Automotive Grade Linux. Walt has more than 25 years of experience in embedded software development and management in the automotive, mobile phone and defense industries. This includes 7 years working for Tier 1 Automotive suppliers (Continental and Motorola) and 6 years leading Linux architecture teams for mobile phones and automotive infotainment systems.
