The Connecticut Innovative Energy Solutions (IES) Program is a regulatory sandbox established through PURA Docket No. 17-12-03RE05, PURA Investigation into Distribution System Planning of the Electric Distribution Companies –Innovative Technology Applications and Programs (Innovation Pilots), and is designed to identify, test, and scale innovative ideas that enable a carbon-free, affordable, and fair electric grid for Connecticut.

The IES program seeks innovative technologies, programs, and solutions in the clean energy landscape that can help deliver a fair, modern electric grid in Connecticut. The first IES program cycle will begin in January 2023 by soliciting concept proposals from innovators.
