Philo TV is a fantastic alternative to premium live TV streaming services. You get dozens of popular TV channels and unlimited DVR for less than $30 a month.

There are a few catches though. The platform doesn’t include sports, local channels or mainstream news channels. For some that might not be a problem, but for others it’s not worth the savings.
