What is remote monitoring? How does it work? What benefit does it bring to the patient? These questions, and more, are answered in this video.

Remote monitoring is a service that sends your device data to your doctor's office from the comfort of your home. Your device may send data when it detects a problem with your implanted system, or when your device is delivering therapy, such as when an ICD delivers a shock. The data transfer is invisible and seamless, and clinics typically only contact patients to verify that a transfer has been received or when a problem is discovered.

***Please note that I am not a medical professional providing medical advice. Discuss the benefits of remote monitoring with your healthcare team to determine if remote monitoring is a good option for you.
