GASOLINE… which refers to petrol or fuel. Check how much gas there is when you pick it up. And how much they expect you to return it with.
OIL… check the oil level and make sure there is no oil leaking under the car.
WATER… check the radiator for coolant level. And be sure to keep a few liters in the car, especially if you're traveling far or in very high temperatures.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM…check all lights, headlights, taillights, turn signals…and then check the dash to make sure there are no extra lights like the check engine light or anything else.
RUBBER (tires)… take a walk around the vehicle and inspect all tires to make sure they are good. No bald tires, no nails or screws, no leaks.
