Design a fully automated Task Tracker using Google Sheets and Forms without access to team members
Check out this step-by-step tutorial for a to-do tracker or to-do list. It will also guide you in creating dashboards, reports and charts with ease.

Let's say your team is collaborating from multiple locations…working from home as we are doing now due to the pandemic situation. There are tasks assigned to everyone and they must report to you once the task is completed. We all know that phone calls, chats and emails can take up a lot of time and this is not the right way to work on it. The manager or supervisor will spend his/her entire time tracking and updating statuses if there are hundreds of job tickets to maintain.
You also don't want to show your tracker to everyone to collaborate, as this would cause a lot of chaos and unwanted problems if multiple people filled it at the same time.

So to solve this problem, we'll use a combination of Google Sheets and Google Forms. In our solution, the tracker is never exposed to the team and they only see what is assigned to the team members.

In our solution, every time you assign a new task, it appears in the pivot and in turn on the web page for the team to view. When they have finished their work, they fill out the form. This updates the records in the Comments tab. This in turn updates the master tracker. Once the master tracker has the completed date, it is removed from the pivot and therefore removed from the web page shared with the team.
