You can easily prevent your WordPress website from being hacked. Follow this video step by step to the end, and I'll show you exactly: how to set up site scanning, how to set up two-factor authentication, how to make sure no one can brute force your website, how to get rid of the damned XML RPC module, and of course how to hide your /wp-admin/ login. Make sure you really invest this time, so that your website is fully secured and you never have to fear hackers again. So let's dive into it now. The very first thing we do is purchase the plugin we need to secure our WordPress website once and for all. Go to

https://wpressdoctor.com/solid/ and hit enter, or just click on this link here and it will take you to the comments section, go to the link etc. It's a free plugin, but if you decide to go buy the pro version, I get a small commission for it, so thank you very much. Press Enter. And now we are on the Solid Security website. You can buy a pro version for 99 euros per year, but in this tutorial I will show you the free version, which works absolutely great. So hit 'Basic' here and it's free forever. Press 'Get Solid Security Basic' and then we'll be at the WordPress depot, so we'll just press this download button above. Great, here we go. Then go to your WordPress website and log in there. And then we go there to 'Plugins' 'Add new'. Press 'upload plugin', select the plugin we just downloaded and press 'Install now'. And then we press 'Activate Plugin' to secure your WordPress website. And voilà, Solid Security Basic is activated. Okay, let's go to the settings here. Click on settings. Welcome to the wizard. The first step is to determine what type of website you have. Do you have an e-commerce website? A non-profit organization? Blogging? Portfolio or brochure for example. Most websites are a blog or a brochure –
simple website to promote your business. So I'm going with the brochure website. Yes, then we want to enable Security Check Pro. It's free, don't worry. Press next. Are you configuring this for yourself or for your customer? This is my own website, so click on it. In this step we choose yes, we want to enforce the password policy so that weak passwords, leaked passwords or hacked passwords are no longer allowed to be used on your WordPress website. Very important.
Press next. The next step is to authorize your own IP address from your home, office or wherever you are currently located. Click on 'Authorize my IP address'. And then you still have one IP address of your own that you are currently working on, which should not be blocked by Solid Security if you do something wrong. Then the IP detection is fine, keep it that way and press next. Then we have login security, yes we want to enable two factor authentication by using another device. Just enable it. We'll set it up later in this video. Press 'next'. Then we come to the user groups. If you are alone on your website, click on 'Standard User Group'. But if you have a team and have created different types of roles for other people, use 'Custom User Groups'….
