Works well.

I started with the hub and 2 light bulbs. Since then I have purchased 3 four packs. I have had virtually no problems with these lamps. They put out as much light as I would expect and for the most part connect easily. The only exception is that two lights are having trouble connecting, but I think that's the distance from the hub, so I plan to move them for testing. Fun fact: all three packages came in different boxes. As far as people complaining about not knowing a hub is needed, it clearly states in the product description that it is needed. I control mine via a series of echo points and couldn't be happier. I've interacted with some of the more expensive smart lighting options and I can say that I don't think the price difference means you lose out on many features. The only real downside I think is that the Sengled hub only works with Sengled bulbs, so if you want to expand into other parts of a smart home you'll have to find another option. Otherwise, this works as a great standalone lighting system.
