Something is making our cars uglier, and we can't do anything about it!

Several new laws and regulations have been introduced in recent years, and it seems they are ruining the aesthetics of brand new cars! To make matters worse, some of the rules and regulations that have been put in place will change the cars so much that some relatively new cars have had to go out of production altogether!

In this video, Mat walks you through 10 aspects of cars that need to change as a result of these new rules. For example, all new cars must be equipped with AEB sensors. This stands for autonomous emergency braking. This is of course important to help cars avoid collisions. The problem is that this results in large boxes having to be added to the front of new cars, and they just look awful!

But that is not everything! There are now also rules for the size of exterior mirrors. In the past, you would expect small cars to come with compact exterior mirrors that still served their purpose. However, nowadays door mirrors have to be a certain size, and we think these mirrors just look too big on certain cars, further ruining the aesthetics!

But of course, one of the biggest changes in the law that will change new cars is the ban on internal combustion engines. The grille on the front of a car used to be a great way for manufacturers to show their identity, but the removal of gasoline engines means the grilles are no longer necessary, so manufacturers are now adding plastic grilles that lend themselves to that purpose. further ruining the aesthetics of the car!

The question is, which of these laws and regulations do you think has wreaked havoc on cars the most? Let us know in the comments!
