Full interview:

/"My name is Conor Laffey, I work for the Oak Harbor School District on Whidbey Island and I'm the Communications Director. We use Smore at the central office, and all of our schools — we have about a dozen schools in the district — and every single one of them uses Smore.

We use it mostly as our e-newsletter, so it goes out to every parent about once a month. Well, we love the analytics part of it. Because previously, we would just send it out, and they would go through the trouble of creating something in Publisher, and then convert it to a PDF, and then it would go out and you have no idea how many people are opening it, what the click-through rates are, and so the analytics data is huge.

Communication is key, of course. We rely on these newsletters — we don’t want to bombard parents with tons and tons of emails. We want to be able to summarize something in a really clear way, where it fits in with the school colors and we can add logos. For us, it’s really that branding — we just want to push it forward. And it looks really nice!

Often our schools don't really have the time to put together nice flyers and brochures. But as a communications director, I have every confidence that if they use Smore, it will be a nice product — it's really easy./"
