At least eight people have been stabbed in a 'major incident' in Southport, Merseyside.
Britain's North West Ambulance Service says it was called to a property with reports of 'multiple stabbings', and paramedics treated eight patients with stab injuries.
The victims were taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Aintree University Hospital and Southport and Formby Hospital.
Armed police arrested a man and seized a knife.
Police have asked the public to avoid the area. Officials say there is no broader threat to the public.
