No Ute, Truck or Bakkie will EVER be safe again – the BYD Shark is here and it looks like it will KILL everything else…

The BYD Shark is a Chinese truck from the MASSIVE Chinese manufacturer BYD – or Build Your Dreams. It has been launched in Mexico and will next be launched in Australia where it will go up against incredibly tough competition such as the Ford Ranger, Toyota HiLux, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, Mitsubishi Triton, Volkswagen Amarok, SsangYong Musso, Kia Tasman and so many others.

Because it comes with a plug-in hybrid DMI powertrain, the BYD Shark is also likely to come in significantly cheaper than the competition – meaning every other major manufacturer will be in trouble.

Given the success of the BYD Atto 3, Seal, Dolphin and Sealion 6 in Australia – if I were Ford, Toyota, Isuzu, Mitsubishi and any other brand… I'd definitely be concerned!
