The Cloud Mindset Assessment involves asking five key questions that help determine the organization’s position on the cloud maturity index. These questions revolve around topics such as the number of applications running in the cloud, the desired pace of innovation, willingness to accept standardized Service Level Agreements (SLAs), the approach to IT governance, and the willingness to rethink business processes for cloud adoption.

Organizations are scored on a scale of 1 to 5, with 3 being neutral. The rating looks at several factors, including the number of mission-critical applications running in the cloud, the organization’s pace of innovation, adoption of standardized SLAs, approach to IT governance, and willingness to adapt business processes for the cloud.

The outcome provides a Cloud Mindset Score, which helps identify the organization’s current status in cloud adoption, from low to mature cloud mindset, and provides guidance for effectively planning the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation strategy.

This assessment is critical to ensure that organizations not only focus on the technology aspect, but also embrace the cultural shift needed to realize the full potential of cloud solutions.
