Sometimes you need to troubleshoot different parts of your sprinkler system and testing a solenoid is one of them. If a sprinkler valve is not working, it could be a bad solenoid. In this video I show how to test a solenoid with a voltmeter or multimeter. This practice is also called /"Ohming Out/" a solenoid. If you get a good resistance number, the solenoid is good, but if the number is very high or jumps all over the place, it means the solenoid is bad.
