Point sentences are the key to efficiency in both inpatient and outpatient medicine rotations. Efficiency means getting your work done quickly (yet accurately) so you can achieve a good work-life balance. Electronic medical records (EMRs) have features that allow you to quickly insert a large amount of template text. This saves seconds, which add up to minutes, which eventually add up to hours! Take it from someone who used to be slow and stay late at work every day. But I've since learned my lesson! In this video I provide tips on what types of period sentences would be useful for most medical students and physicians.
