Dr. Avi Mehra: In this talk, we explore the importance of designing for safety in digital healthcare and how organizations can adopt and embed a safety first approach when designing digital healthcare solutions, reducing the risk of such solutions harming patients inflict. We will build on our extensive experience in digital clinical safety and user-centered design, sharing how we have combined these disciplines to help inform designers about the importance of clinical safety in healthcare, and using exemplary case studies to discuss how we effective and robust clinical safety processes in our enterprise design thinking approach. We'll also talk about how we help create a safety culture across the organization and share tips on how others can do the same.
