How do I sign up for the SteamVR Beta?
– Go to SteamVR in your Steam games list, go to Properties – Betas – Opt in using the drop down menu.

How do I sign up for the Steam Link Beta?
– Go to Steam Link in your Horizon App Library on your phone and scroll down to /"More Info/". Go to Version Number and tap on the version itself and select Public Beta from the channel.

Does this work on Quest 2?
– Seems to work for people! It might just be less accurate in some ways because the quest 3 uses a depth sensor for accurate tracking.

Does this also work via a wired connection?
– No, Steam Link only works via wireless. If wireless isn't working for you, look up some tutorials on the best way to connect wirelessly for PCVR here on YouTube if you need some guides!
– Generally speaking, best practices involve using a dedicated Wifi 6 or 6E router that is connected to your PC via ethernet. You connect your current ethernet to that router to get internet access, and then that new router to your PC. That way, you have a wireless connection where no other device is consuming the bandwidth.
– If that's not possible, look into devices designed for this, such as the Puppis S1 from PrismXR. Simply connect via 1x USB 3.0 and 1x USB 2.0 to your PC.

How do you move in-game? What hotkeys should I use?
– Unfortunately, not every game is the same. You'll have to do some trial and error before you find the right mix for you. Some games name their game commands in SteamVR, others don't.
– Basically all you need to do is open a game you want and go to /"Controller Bindings/" to edit them. With your Oculus Controllers selected, go back one screen, click on the controllers to open a menu of all possible controllers, and then choose Hand Tracking.
– Also check if others have shared their published bindings to save yourself a step.

Can you publish your bindings?
– I will eventually, but I still have to find what works best for me. I don't want to clutter up the binding feed with combos that aren't ideal for a game.

Does this work in VR Chat?
– Yes! Actually native. They already have key bindings assigned and ready to go. Open VR Chat and they give you a quick tutorial.
