The VSS sensor signal voltage circuit is responsible for providing vehicle speed and turbine output rotation to the ECU.

This particular VSS is a hall effect device. We know this thanks to the internal transistor seen here in the center of this diagram. Even though this is a Hall Effect sensor, it does have a sensor coil, seen here on the far right. The entire circuit, minus the 5 volt reference circuit, is inside….
