Don't be perfect. Don't even try to be perfect.

This concept will set the hairs of some auditors and audit managers on fire. It won't calculate.

They are too used to thinking in a very safe way, as everyone does.

Attempting perfection is not the same as perfect. It equals: failure.

While you were trying to be perfect, others were getting jobs up and down, on time and on budget.

And they all had findings, good reports and stayed within budget.
And you know what else?

No one saw any difference between your report and those reports.

In short: 80% is good enough. Don't perfect; don't even try to be perfect
