Helen Hockx-Yu discussed the key processes of web archiving and provided an overview of the British Library’s web archiving activities. She discussed how current selective archiving practices are changing to meet the demands of archiving the British web at scale, made possible by the forthcoming Non-Print Legal Deposit legislation.

Helen Hockx-Yu is Head of Web Archiving at the British Library. Previously, she was Project Manager of the Planets project, a four-year project co-funded by the European Union under the Sixth Framework Programme to address key challenges in digital preservation. Before joining the British Library, she was Programme Manager at the UK Joint Information Systems Committee, where she oversaw JISC’s technology research and development activities in digital preservation.
