About this product:

What are the Venmo transfer limits?

As stated in the Venmo User Agreement, limits are subject to periodic review and may change based on your Venmo account history, activity, and other factors, including but not limited to your Venmo Mastercard® activity. Venmo reserves the sole right to apply and change limits.

When you open a Venmo account and before your identity is verified, a weekly rolling limit of $299.99 will be applied to all transactions combined. See below for instructions on how to verify your identity.

Once your identity is verified, your limits are as follows:

All transactions combined (sending money, payments from authorized merchants, and Venmo Mastercard purchases combined): weekly rolling limit of $4,999.99

Sending money (payments to and accepted requests from other Venmo users): Weekly rolling limit of $2,999.99
Authorized Merchant Payments (payments for goods or services through mobile websites or apps of merchants approved by Venmo): $2,000 per purchase, 30 transactions per day
Venmo Mastercard Specific Limits
Venmo may adjust your reload limit. To view your personal reload limit amount, go to Settings → Venmo Card in the Venmo app.
Purchases: $3,000 per purchase
Top-up: Weekly rolling limit of $100* (applies when top-up is offered to you and enabled)
ATM withdrawals, over-the-counter withdrawals, and cash back on purchase transactions: $400 daily limit (resets at midnight CST)
Limits are subject to periodic review and may change based on your Venmo Account history, activity, and other factors, including but not limited to your Venmo Mastercard activity. Venmo reserves the sole right to apply and change limits.

Weekly rolling limits
A transaction counts towards your weekly rolling limit for exactly one week after the time of the transaction. So for example, if you send a payment, make a purchase, or have a reload triggered* on a Monday at 11:00 AM, that payment, purchase, or reload will no longer count towards your limit at exactly 11:01 AM the following Monday.

Verify your identity
For more information on how to verify your identity, please refer to this article.

Increase your limit
Unfortunately, we do not accept requests to increase your limits above the limits described above.

*Expected reloads on pending Venmo card purchases and any reloads activated in the past week will count toward your limit. Find your pending and completed purchases in the Purchases section of the Venmo app. For more information about reloads, visit this page.
