What is Flipgrid? Find out in this 60-second edtech tip. Flipgrid is a video-based social engagement tool for teachers and students. In this video, Bald Guy Sci explains Flipgrid in 60 seconds. Teachers can create Grids, which are essentially folders for topics. Topics are the unique places for students to engage with your focus document, or respond with a video describing their thoughts, skills, work, or reaction. In addition to customizing your own Grids, there’s also a Disco Library with content from great providers to get your creativity flowing and help you get started. The database of ideas and projects is searchable, sortable, and constantly updated. Add Gridpals or connected teachers and classrooms around the world and you have an opportunity for great social networking and deeper learning. Flipgrid also allows you to connect with families through the augmented reality section, where a teacher can link a student’s work via QR code for parents to see.
