There are currently efforts in multiple countries around the world to restrict sales of electric cars made in China and exported internationally, in part due to claims that China is unfairly subsidizing sales of its foreign electric cars with massive incentives .

We've discussed the need for a level playing field before, but in a world where some automakers aren't interested in making smaller, more affordable models, there is a way to encourage domestic manufacturers to become more competitive, increase domestic production encourage AND allow Are electric cars being sold from China in the meantime? We think that might be the case.
